Well, seems they will be closing anyway. I didn't find a lot on skinbook to keep me goin back, so I am not too sad. Though I hate to see any naturist venue, digital or analog, close down :( Or should that be Clothes down?!  |

Per an e-mail back from Ning, they are not closing it, as it does not fit in their view of an adult theme. They also sent me a link explaining their opinions at this time. http://blog.ning.com/2008/12/a-few-updates-on-the-end-of-the-red-light-district.htmlI do hope this wake up call does convince those members of Skinbook that have suggestive images that do not fit with nudism/naturism to remove the pictures from the site. |

sis u have to login first. they cant steal unless they join. Err, it is hardly the toughest operation to join ! And once there, as has been said, you can easily copy. Just read some of the comments that people have attached to pics, and you will be aware that some folk are there for dubious reasons, although Skinbook say they are continuing to try and make it a better place. So, I certainly wouldn't post a pic there, but each to their own. |

Just some observations from my limited activity on there: - As a female you will be bombarded with friend requests from guys who have no idea who you are even though I have it right on my page that I decline friend requests unless I know you from YNAI, CFF, etc..... I always assumed people could read and follow simple instructions. I was wrong, yesterday I got 19 friend requests and approved only one, from another member here on YNAI.... - No way in hell would I ever post a picture there with the exception of my profile picture (the same one I use for my avatar here). And I get the occasional request along the lines of "got any nude pics?" to which I always reply "absolutely but you're not gonna get to see them". That usually leads to a less than friendly reply.....  - It's painfully obvious that a large portion of the female pics on there are *not* the user..... I mean, I've never had a series of pictures taken of me doing the dishes nude, and I don't feel the need to post 20 different nude pictures of myself. One would do just fine if you wanna see me naked..... - Don't go into the chat room if you're female. Period. End of discussion..... let's just say that several members are there trolling for more than friendship..... |

Felt like I was playing that game at the state fair called whack-a-mole trying to keep all the friggen things from showing up..... I agree about the guy's pics too..... I have absolutely no desire to talk to someone who's primary intent is obviosly to *display* himself for me. Now if it's just a regular nude picture where "Junior" happens to be visible that's different.... it's just a picture..... |
