I suffered all 3 hours of it; I say suffered, mostly because if ever there are 2 people on TV I'd love to see get twatted for being so far up their own arses, Trinny & Susunnah are at #1 currently!
But, all credit to them. This was a fairly interesting show, not so much the content, more the reactions from participants at the very end. To save you trawling through all 3 hours, the pompous pair (Trinny & Susannah) wanted to find out what the average British male & female looked like & create a sculpture on a hillside of them with real people; real
shock horror naked people.
Many who visited roadshows around the country were invited to this photoshoot to celebrate their 'uniqueness', being told the photoshoot would be done in the buff. Great, yeah I can do that, OK sure ...were amongst the numerous replies. Cometh the big day & ..... 330 was the numbers aimed for. Sadly, they only managed about 2/3 of that, but after a bit of rejigging, they managed to pull it off. The pretentious duo got naked too (one of them seemed much more up for it than the other) though they clung to each other like a dog humping your leg (bet that paints a spectacularly bad picture for many of you
). Still, they got naked .....
The comments made by many of the participants at the end however were to the average viewer I imagine, quite surprising. More than one suggested the whole experience had been very liberating/exhilerating/good fun after the initial getting nude stage (all comments many on here could have told them already!). In fact, it appeared that more than a few were almost blase' about being nude at the very end as they returned to their clothes, not bothering to cover up the fun bits. Which for the benefit of puritanical north America, were not pixellated out at all!
As a side note, I saw a girl participating who had been a few years ahead of me in school. She was badly disfigured facially due to cancer as a very young girl. She's had many, many operations to try to help but it would be fair to say that many people would react negatively to how she looks owing to the severity of her disfigurement. I remember at school she did have a lot of negativity regarding the scarring & was at times downright obnoxious. I'm pleased to say that she seemed happier now & admitted to this being the first time she'd been nude in public in her life.
