i certainly have no complaints.
even the fact that parts of it are covered (the genitals and breasts), i don't feel that it is covered in a "shameful" way.

I like it too, and I don't see it as vague or overcomplicated.
As for sexist, not at all. Gawd do you have to have both a guy and girl not to be sexist ? I don't think so. It is noticeable that the females that have replied have no problem with it.
I think it would be worth presenting the final results of the poll to those "older nudists" to give an indication of what a selection of young international naturists think of it.

I agree, it would look a lot better without the banner covering her.

Thank you everybody for your responses. Poll results are pretty overwhelming.....96% like it. Only one person voted "no". That is really encouraging. Keep the comments coming!
I wish I could say I designed the logo, but I'm not an artist. Steve Vickers (AANR) has a friend who is an excellent artist. They worked together to generate the logo. I think they battled with the cover vs. uncover dilemma. I think the thought was that the logo was cool either way, but that uncovering and showing nipples or genitals might give non-nudists a reason to look at nudism as "shocking". So I guess they felt it was more respectful to "cover up to go in public". They still achieved the feeling that she is completely nude and unashamed, yet without having to prove it. I like the logo, I think it is the best "logo" to come out of AANR....ever!
By the way, her nickname is "Eve".

Artistically, I like the logo. I've always been a fan of that kind of shadow play as it gives the artwork a feel of realism. In fact that kind of style I try to pursue in my art. The look of the figure and the banner rectifies the whole 'revolution' effect. It is cool, it's the kind of thing I'd like to have on my t-shirt.
But like as everyone else here said, I am worried that it doesn't exactly convey the right message. Covering the bits might make it easier on the public eye but I'd have preferred to have the figure that did not necessitate a banner to cover the bits or have the same design uncovered but lacking any excessive anatomical details.
Also the lack of a male figure. Have you noticied how in media it is usually female nudity that is shown more often? Most people are conditioned that female nudity is tasteful while male nudity is not, another stereotype that nudists are trying to push aside.
My two cents (or piasters, for that matter).

Yeah I like it too. Unfortunately the first thing that struck me was that the breasts and the pubic area were covered. It kind of sexualises the image in a way because it draws attention to how those areas are hidden.
You could have the ribbon slightly lower down so these areas are exposed. Or perhaps even better what about having the woman disrobing herself and stepping forward in some way? That way it is more in fitting with the theme of joining the nude revolution. She is pictured in the process of joining by freeing herself of her clothes and therefore the message starts to become more relevant to the picture. I am not sure how the text could be fitted around her unless of course it was not specifically part of the picture.
And yes the logo shouldn't be trying to appeal to the older generation. There are enough of them around. Any community needs to make sure that it gets fresh blood as otherwise it grows old and dies. You reach a critical point where the whole activity is perceived as an old person's activity, the younger generation are turned off it and it becomes only a matter of time before the community withers and dies.

I was kind of thinking that, Karla, but hadn't put it into words, and anyway wouldn't have put it so well as you do.

Its great Sam, what about having both a man and a woman in it together. But I do understand that males do outnumber the females and of course a nude yet even covered up nude female form certainly fits with todays marketing ideas.
