well I wish I was in a nudietropolis. But my town, itself, has the longest runing seafood festival and is the childhood home to one of Florida biggest politicians and were Florida's cattle "industry" started. But I am also pretty right down the street from NASA (self explanatory), Playalinda, the Sebastian (world's best fshing inlet), Pelican Island (Nations First Wildlife Preserve), and Cocoa Beach (home of I Dream of Genie and major surfing spot).

Well my hometown I spent the majority of my life is known as the Schoolhouse of Aviation, where the Wright Brothers perfected the concepts of heavier than air flight prior to moving the plane to North Carolina for the first flight (don't tell me the plane was invented in North Carolina, that's like saying Hiroshima, Japan was were the atomic bomb was invented). Also it's where lots of early developments in the history of flight were researched. Where I live now is known for...well...having a large military base near it.

Well I am from London but thankfully live in Sydney. It would be hard to know where to start. Here are a few claims to fame for both cities. London: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Coumn, Covent Garden, Oxford Street, Millennium Eye. Sydney: Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, Mardi Gras. Many many more for both. William

Canterbury: - Birthplace of the Church of England
- Highest concentration of pubs of any city in Britain
- St Martin's Church, Canterbury, is the oldest parish church in England and has been in continuous use since at least the 6th century
- The King's School Canterbury, established ca. 600 AD, is almost certainly the oldest school in Britain and very probably the oldest surviving school in the world. Its former pupils include playwright Christopher Marlowe (1564 - 1593), William Harvey (1578 - 1657) who discovered the circulation of blood in the human body, author William Somerset Maugham (1874 - 1965), Field Marshall Lord Montgomery (1887 - 1976), cricketer David Gower (b. 1957) and astronaut Dr Michael Foale (b. 1957)
- The archbishop of Canterbury, Stephen Langton, was the first signatory as witness to Magna Carta (1215 AD)
- In May 1830 the world's first ever scheduled passenger rail service opened between Canterbury and the coastal town of Whitstable, 6 miles to the north
- The University of Kent at Canterbury boasts one of the largest student nightclubs on campus in the country
Not too bad! Kind of makes the place look like booze central though

"The most air conditioned city on earth" -- It would be so much simpler to just dress appropriately for the climate, i.e. not dress.
It's home to the largest medical center in the world, claiming many medical "firsts" and "mosts".
It's famous for many scientific discoveries such as the C-60 Carbon "buckyball" (jointly credited to Rice University and the University of Sussex, according to Wikipedia) and more recently, the prediction and description of B-80, the Boron buckyball, which hasn't actually been created or found yet.
It's the energy capital of the world.
The city is famous for being the first word spoken from the moon.
It is also the city where U.S. President John F. Kennedy made his famous speech at Rice University challenging the nation to reach the moon:

BTW, today is the birthday of that guy quoted in my sig, Thomas Paine. He was born on January 29th, 1737.

I was born in Calgary (which may also be where our second and only child so far will be born ) and It's known for the greatest outdoor show on earth. Stampede City and Cow Town are often used. I also was in Regina which is called the Queen City because Regina is Latin for Queen. It's know for it's football there regardless of how well the team does. Now we are in a small town not known for anything. Well.... other than small town stereotypes of one rink and pool, hockey is the only thing that matters and rumors are faster than electrons. I enjoy this place the best out of the three. People care and support us though this pregnancy. That and I can go swimming naked without anyone knowing. Peace.

I googled "Pencilvania+Pagoda" , and their final answer was, Back in 1908 a man named William Whitman built the Pagoda, originally intending it to be a resort. Whitman sold the Pagoda to Jonathan Mould in 1910 because Whitman couldn't get a liquor license for his resort. Mould sold it to the city of R... (deleted by Aaron) for $1. Take care, Aaron
