I would like to add Eid (also known as feast, Eid Al Adha, Bayram, etc.) for Muslims as one of the holidays being celebrated at the same time as Christmas and Hanukkah. We have just celebrated this Wednesday. It is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son under the order of God. The festivities last for two to three days or more depending on the country. Eid ul-Adha occurs the day after the pilgrims conducting Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. It is nice to see that so many holidays from different faiths are being celebrated at the same time. |

Also Jewish... to some. My dad was Jewish... mom is Unitarian but raised Irish Catholic. To more strict Jews, I am not Jewish because my mom is not... to others, because I had my Bar Mitzvah, I am. Oh well. ;D
