Just 13 days to go in 2007, and time to get your New Year's Resolutions in order, fellow nudies . As a kid, growing up in a nudie family, I was always grateful to my mom and dad for encouraging me to be naked whenever I wanted to enjoy that lifestyle (at home, my sister and I are always naked). But then, reading post after post here at YNAI of "closet nudies" who didn't dare come clean with their mom and dad saddened me, in part because, IMHO, doing it secretly, in one's room with the door locked, hoping that nobody will find out about it, takes the "liberating" aspect away from being a real nudie. So, after I finished my own "short list" for 2008 (including being more careful about what I'm saying and writing, lol [after all, I'm going to be 18 years old pretty soon, and legally responsible for what I do and say]), I'd like to recommend to you "closet nudies" out there, take all your courage and tell them, "Mom, dad, maybe you've suspected it all along, maybe it comes out of the blue, but let me tell you that I'm a nudie. There are millions out there just like me, nothing sinister about it, nothing to be fearful about, nothing to be ashamed of. Nudies are just happy people, and I'm sure you want me to be one of them!" Now, how's that for a New Year's Resolution? . Aaron

I'm going to try and get more exercise than I do now.
Also, since I won't have Internet access at my new apartment, I'm going to re-hone my guitar skill again and get good at that again. It's been a few years since I've played seriously, and I'm looking forward to getting my skill back up to the level it used to be.
Finally, I want to prepare to be the best husband I can be for my bride-to-be! ;D

Definitely learn to be a father again (been around for 6 of my daughter's 19 months of life on this earth), plus go to a nude beach.

I don't think Aaron started this thread in order for people to post their new years resolutions, he was suggesting that all the closet nudists open up to their families for their new years resolution.
its a good idea Aaron but you have to think about what would happen if you were to open up to a textile family. The reason i never told my parents while i was living at home was because even if i had told them i dont think they or i would have felt comfortable with me walking around naked just because the issue was out in the open. it wasnt that bad because i have a car now and can go to nude beaches whenever i want. i do see what your saying though that if a closet nudie opened up to their parents they wouldnt have to worry about locking themselves in their bedroom in fear of someone opening the door on them, in this case they could just shut themselves in the room without locking the door haha.

The reason I don't believe in new year's resolutions is simple: When I want to change my behavior, I do it because what I did before is worse than what I am about to do. And it does not make sense to wait until the beginning of the next year to start improving.

Resolutions are doomed to failure without conviction and belief that what you're doing (or not doing) is wrong. This year, I will try to improve on where I have not succeeded 100%. Just like when I try and improve during the year when something isn't going right. I recommend making resolutions throughout the year and not just once a year. One resolution that I made, to never get drunk again happened in June 1999. It's lasted almost 10 years now. I have the conviction and belief that it's something I never want to do again. What is the best resolution story that you have? Peace.

My New Year resolution will be to resolve things I wasn't able to resolve the year before. I probably wont be sucessful at that so I will try it again next year.

I guess one o' my new years resolutions, if y'all can call it that, is to turn my life around, try to stop seein' the bad side o' everythin' instead o' the positive, get in a better shape 'n' better health 'n' i guess just stop beein' such a jerk to everybody around me, both online 'n' offline... Believe me, I can be one helluva a moronic bastard sumtimes... As if that ain't been clearly displayed in some o' my posts on this here message board already, lol... Anyway, I guess this was my itty-bitty contribution to this thread... Sincerely NudistSonny1982

i've been a closet singer/songwriter for years. i resolve this year to actually play in public. i probably won't be nude, but i'll imagine that the audience is nude.
(that'd be ballsy, though, playing my first show naked. might make me an instant rock legend.)
