Hmm...Not sure how to put this...
But I've been having a lot of physiotheraphy recently due to growing problems (basically, my ligaments have grown faster then my bones, so it can cause intense pain at times). I had a blood test done to see why my body has grown out of proportion (it happens to everyone, but more so with me). The results came back and I have a huge amount of testosterone in my blood stream. This both surprised me and didn't. I'm not an agressive person at all, and agressiveness is usually proportional to testosterone levels. However, I was asked if I experienced a lot of erections, in all honesty, the answer is yes.
I get them all the time, and can last for up to half an hour (no kidding), they can be painful and I feel incredibly self concious. When I'm swimming (which I used to do a lot) they happened and I just can't cope with the embarresment. They are 99% of the time not linked to anything sexual, they are spontanious.
A lot of the reason I don't go to beaches is because of this problem. I go to Brighton beach because its mainly visited by males and gay couples, so I don't feel as put out...But I don't go anywhere else. I don't want to be around any females when it happens, I don't want females to feel uncomfortable around me.
Anyone know if there is like an anti-viagra or something?! Or what I should do if it happens or how I should act or something? I don't like Brighton beach hugely and I want to go else where to meet new people but I just don't feel comfortable when my thing "does its thing".

I wouldn't recommend taking any drug due to the risk of long term effects. But there is at least one drug. It is given in conjunction with circumcisions to prevent erections while the incision is healing.
There are also a drugs that last several months when injected near the testes. I would definitely not recommend that. That treatment is prescribed most commonly to delay puberty in cases where a boy starts showing signs of puberty at too young an age, which would result in the boy not reaching his full height potential (because you stop growing at the end of puberty.)

yeah i agree with o2bnude. be happy you have all of that testosterone now because when your older its going to be gone at a certain point. although it does cause more erections than you'd like, it also allows you to repair muscle tissue and in incredible pace and also gives you more energy and sexual virility.
so yeah i know what your saying and that sucks, but you dont want to do anything to lower your testosterone levels at this age because before you know theyre going to lower themselves.

Thanks for the replies,
Its just the sheer embaresment of people getting a false impressions of my intentions if I'm at a beach or whatever, because I'm not a voyeur or exhibitionist or anything and I don't want to be thought of as that!

Gosh I wish I had your problem. Somebody told me there are three stages in life. When you're young you can't stop getting erections, in middle age you can have them at will and then in old age you can't get them for love nor money. Any way good luck and I hope it gets sorted. I remember when I was in my early teens I would get them for no reason at all on nude beaches and it was so embarrassing. Good luck with your growing problems and pains. Take care and please don't worry William

The best erection killer I have found so far is the sound of our child crying, something about it makes all hormonal functions cease...

Hi Sam,
My guy used to get a bit hard in the hot tub but it just passes. When we are alone it would happen more but if we have some of my girlfriends over he is fine he stays soft as there is safety in numbers I guess. Just one of those things.
Love Jackie

It sounds as though your age has a lot to do with the fact that you get a lot of erections. That said I think you should just try and relax more and stop worrying about it so much. If it's the only thing on your mind and your paying attention to it when you strip off or even when clothed, you're much more likely to get an erection. Get your mind on something else or just try and forget about it. If you do happen to get an erection, leave it be, do something else and it should go soon enough! The problem is so much more mental than physical! (obviously with the hormones doing their bit too!)

There is easy one way I know of to get rid of testosterone and that is to ejaculate. It may sound odd and I hope that isn't overly sexual for this forum, but you may need to find the right amount of 'release' to get it out of your system. You could also start working out a lot.
