does this mean all the posts and topics that a meember has left will be erased indefinitely?
why isn't this fact posted on the introduction page?
please tellme that there is a reasonable explanation on why this short time period was agreed upon by the administrators and not actual members? do you know of other sites that have a time limit policy? i am so really confused sice i read this today. pleeeeeease help!
No, it does not necessarily mean all posts & topics a member has posted will be erased. It is at the admins/mods discretion whether we delete all the posts, but we do systematically delete members who do not comply with our Terms of Service to ensure we can keep track of who's who & keep the forum lively & interesting.
Eight weeks is hardly a short time period & what other forums Terms of Service, rules & regulations have is entirely up to them. Ours are clearly displayed in our General Message Board Rules' so that everybody can check them at any time if they have a query & haven't reached a level that allows them to PM.
You may not have realised but, this was posted way back in January 2006 & is part of our 'General Message Board Rules' which you agreed to read & abide by on sign up. We trust people to have read through these general board rules on sign up & it's why you'll often see when a new member introduces themself to us, we ask them to take some time to familiarise themselves with the board. Given the nature of our forum, we do have to be very proactive regarding these rules, as sadly, undesireables do still try to join up here, for the wrong reasons & we have to be on our toes at all times.
