The 15th of July is the day without swimsuit in Spain. Many activities will be organized on many beaches of the Spanish coast, nudists and not nudists beaches, to get the people to take off the swimsuit and to have more nudist beaches. Remember, sunday 15th of July. You can do the same in your country. Patxi

Remember that it will be on all the nudist and not nudist beaches.
The day will consist of the free exercise of the nakedness in the maximum number of beaches, promoting the communal life among the different options to sunbathe and the definite normalization of the nakedness on all beaches.
We want this day the nudism to be able to be practiced to the utmost from beaches of Spain (and the world) in an environment of tolerance and respect, where the nudism is an option more as the swimsuit, the bikini, the topless or the thong.
We wait for your collaboration.
Thanks Marisol and Sara

I've just realised that this is the weekend of the YNAI British Conference at Studland, so I am sure any folk that are still around on Sunday 15th July will happily head to the beach in honour of this day

With the goal to claim the social respect to the nudism on all beaches, we manifest that: We want the nudism to be an option more at the same time of going to the beach as the swimsuit or the top less is it. We want to incorporate the nudism into the landscape of the beaches.
We want that urges all the public administrations taking the necessary measures for suppressing the statutory obstacles that block the practice of the nudism.
We make know that according to the valid legislation, the nudism can not be limited, nor sanctioned and very less prohibited.
We denounce that 12 years after the depenalization of the social nakedness, we, the nudists, still suffer the discrimination and incomprenssió of a good part of the society and, the ignorance of the law on the part of the police.
We make know that the UNICEF, maximum international organ for the defense of the childhood, does not consider the vision of the human nakedness harmful to the childhood.
We denounce those conservative collectives that, under the false pretext of protecting the childhood and the family, they want to impose its their morality and to cut the public freedoms.
We affirm that the nudism is socially beneficial because it helps to reduce the differences of gender and to eliminate any connotation sexual of the nakedness.
We affirm that the nakedness helps in the acceptance of the body.

Looks like it did indeed go well in Spain, Patxi. Sadly, it was a rather dull & overcast day in this wee part of Scotland & today, it's pouring from the heavens!
At least in Spain the weather was almost guaranteed to be conducive to having no swimsuit. Long may it continue that way .....

Platja de l'Illa Roja, Begur. From Sa Riera there runs in the direction of Pals beach a coastal path which leads to Illa Roja bay and then emerges at Racó beach. The nudist nature of Platja de l’Illa Roja means that it supplements the zone’s tourist provision. Presided over by a great rock of a reddish colour which lends the beach its name, it is a peaceful, uncrowded spot with fine sand and bathed by transparent waters. The bay can only be reached on foot, along the coastal path running from Sa Riera to Platja del Racó. An internationally renowned nudist beach. http://www1.mma.es/playas/img/galerias/gi/0083/%C3%ADndice.htm

Hi Patxi
Thanks for the info. I know the region very well as I have been going to Bagur/Pals for about 20 years. I just wanted to know if you've been there.

These days nothing floats without a website.....Paxti, if the day is your creation, or if you know those who created it. You should buy a domain name, like " www.DayWithoutaSwimsuit.com". Doesn't have to be fancy, just a single page with a description of the day would do. The word would spread quicker that way. When I Googled it to find out more info about the day....nothing came up. The internet is supposed to have all the answers

Hi Smooth! I know the area, but I go more to the south area of the Costa Brava, St. Feliu, Tossa, Lloret de Mar....
Hi DoctorSurferDude! I didn't invent the day without swimsuits. ;D You should look "Día sin bañador" in google. You will find a lot of information in spanish, afterwards you can translate it with a translating program. The idea about the web page is very good.
greetings
