Hi all,
I actually knew about this for a few weeks, seeing as Andrew Welch sent "advance notice" to everyone who went last November - but it's now been officially announced on the BN website:
Yep, it's happening again. BN has secured exclusive use of the Splash Landings Hotel and Cariba Creek Waterpark, at Alton Towers, for naturist use from 16 - 18 November 2007.
I just can't emphasise how good last year was... there's loads of feedback on the BN website here:
http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/pages/pages.asp?page_ID=202There's also a great article about it in the current issue of the BN magazine.
Now, unfortunately, it is expensive. The cost per room is £250 (inclusive of bed for two nights, breakfast, waterpark entry for the weekend, all BN events and VAT) This is based on two sharing.
Extra adults can join a room for £50 each and children aged 4-11 can be added for £40 each. So, it works out at £350 for four people to share a room (£87.50 each)
The restaurants are also VERY expensive for lunch and dinner and the bar's not cheap either. I'm sure YBN will head off to the much cheaper pub up in Alton itself to eat in the evenings!
You also have to be a BN member to attend - though the trial membership is still open. Bookings need to be made by 30 June, in order to ensure that this goes ahead again.
Despite the expense, I do think it's well worth it. I would recommend it to anyone - especially if you've never been to any kind of naturist get-together before. I think it'd make a great intro to social naturism.
I will definitely go back this year.
