Hi all,

I actually knew about this for a few weeks, seeing as Andrew Welch sent "advance notice" to everyone who went last November - but it's now been officially announced on the BN website:

Yep, it's happening again. BN has secured exclusive use of the Splash Landings Hotel and Cariba Creek Waterpark, at Alton Towers, for naturist use from 16 - 18 November 2007.

I just can't emphasise how good last year was... there's loads of feedback on the BN website here: http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/pages/pages.asp?page_ID=202

There's also a great article about it in the current issue of the BN magazine.

Now, unfortunately, it is expensive. The cost per room is £250 (inclusive of bed for two nights, breakfast, waterpark entry for the weekend, all BN events and VAT) This is based on two sharing.

Extra adults can join a room for £50 each and children aged 4-11 can be added for £40 each. So, it works out at £350 for four people to share a room (£87.50 each)

The restaurants are also VERY expensive for lunch and dinner and the bar's not cheap either. I'm sure YBN will head off to the much cheaper pub up in Alton itself to eat in the evenings!

You also have to be a BN member to attend - though the trial membership is still open. Bookings need to be made by 30 June, in order to ensure that this goes ahead again.

Despite the expense, I do think it's well worth it. I would recommend it to anyone - especially if you've never been to any kind of naturist get-together before. I think it'd make a great intro to social naturism.

I will definitely go back this year.

Here's the official announcement: http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/pages/pages.asp?page_ID=249

I think the trial mambership is only for 6 months @ £10.00 so it would not cover you for the november if you joined now but as long as the trial membership is still on in june and you join then you should be ok with that, If not i think its only £26.00 to join for a year.

You don't get a full six months if you join now - the trial only takes people up to June 2007, regardless of when they join (so the earlier you pay up, the better value it is)

AFAIK though, you only need the membership number in order to be able to book... Last year, they never checked people's membership upon check-in (or they never checked mine, anyway)

Still, everyone who pays for the trial membership will let it run for the full year, won't they?  Cheesy  8)

I reckon they'll probably do some kind of deal like they did last year too, where you can get two months membership plus the Alton Towers booking by paying a bit extra (though I know it hasn't been announced yet)

Full year membership now costs:

Couple: £43.00
Single: £30.50
Full Time Student: £18.50
Children: £5.00

I missed the last AT event and so can safely say that Ill be there or sure this time around !

This event needs to see more people turn out as whilst the last one was well attended Alton Towers made no money and so were unsure as to whether to hold the event again...i they loose money again we may not see this event again :(

If you can make it please do...

Sorry but isn't it correct to say my girlfriend and I?

I thought that was proper English? LOL
