Well Michael got in there first but I can't resist not saying anything having just got back myself after such a truely awesome weekend.

I picked Leah (yes of Trisha fame) up from Folkestone on Wednesday morning and we made our way up to Broadlands club just outside of Norwich. We got lost 3 times on the way there, the blame being undecided (bear in mind it wasn't me doing the navigating) but we finally arrived at about half 2 in the afternoon. Bryn was already there and was setting up the tent which we managed to complete just before the heavens opened. It rained all night and into the morning but it didn't seem to effect the mood at all. However, note to self: you need more than just a sleeping bag at this time of year! Brrrrrrrrrrrr

On thurs, many of us recovering from the night before, we got aquainted with each other, including a large dutch contingent. I have to say, they're the best bunch of people that I've met in a long while, apart from the YBN lot of course. Great fun to be around, sociable, friendly, good drinkers and just all round fun! We had a swimming gala on the thursday and unfortunately the team that I was in came second to last, but the taking part was better than anything. Then most of us chilled in the pool and threw those little plastic balls that you find in childrens play areas at each other as well as cramming as many people as humanly possible into the Sauna! Leah also did a radio interview with Joel and Debs that morning and reporters from the Gaurdian were also there, which I also contributed to. They're going to do a four page spread on the event in their G2 supplement so keep your eyes out for that!

The INF rally was officially opened by someone from the local council on the thursday night which was followed by kareoke and a set by Adrian. Basically an excuse to get drunk again!

On Friday as Michael said we went for a trip into Norwich, which is a really nice place, and spent the day looking around the Abbey and the Castle and had some free time to walk around the city. On the way back the coach's sat-nav sent us down a single track country road, where we almost got stuck on a bridge on a corner. Took a few attempts to get over that but we made it in the end, much to the elation of all on board! Friday night we had the band, Agent Orange, who were immense, especially their closing rendition of Greenday: American Idiot! Truely stuff of legend!

Saturday we had the different events as Michael's already outlined. I woosed out and sat around being lazy while everyone else ran around! We finished off last night with the set by Martin which I can't big up enough. That man is a legend on the decks. It pretty much turned into a rave with some hardcore tunes amongst some party cheese (remember the cheese people) and much hangover was had by all. We saw the dutch off at about 2am this morning which was sad to see everyone go. Shaun I think by now has an over-developed finger as he took in excess of 1,500 in total over the 5 days but they were all great! The weekend went so quickly but I'd definately recommend the club if anyone's thinking of a place to go in England. Friendly atmosphere and the staff there are a great laugh, as well as being clean and tidy. Big-up to Broadlands, Debby and Joel for organising it, and also Paul for all his help, this is Ben over and out!

Oh, the JNFN driver....  Cheesy

How close were to you to the front Ben, when he was driving us down that single track road towards Norwich? (Having earlier been sent down a totally inappropriate, windy, bendy road - leading to..... a No Entry sign, forcing us to walk, to Wyndham Abbey)

I think it was Nibbla who said something like "Don't worry, we ignore them in England" and he had a serious think about driving down there!  ;D

Anyway, nearly made me **** myself when he hit that bird and put a massive crack in the windscreen. Typical laid-back Dutch style though:

Peter (Driver): "Oh, was that a bird?"
(Hightower): "Nah, it was a plane!"  Wink

Shunting around on that narrow bridge was impressive too... great two-man effort.  Smiley

I'd almost forgotten about the Karaoke - and our slaughtering of "Bohemian Rhapsody"... I had Napoleon shouting in my ear during that. Gawd, no wonder he couldn't speak the next day! (Sorry Dan!  Wink)

It was sad seeing the JNFN off this morning... though I couldn't stop laughing for a while because Lamal was singing "Old MacDonald had a farm" all the way up the drive - inspired by Angie and her cows.

Nah, Ben's done a great job of condensing it all into a succinct and concise post there - but the stories will keep dripping out for some time, I think! Can't give enough thanks to Debs, Joel, Paul, American Chris, Adrian, Martin, all at BN, and all at Broadlands. A lot of bloody hard work went into that and it's really thanks to them that everyone had such a good time.

I'll probably think of loads more and communicate it more intelligently once I've slept. Sleeping is not something I've done much of this week! (caught forty winks on the 42 minute flight from Norwich to Exeter - longest I've slept properly in days, I think!)

Bishop has managed to add the Norwich branch of Sainsburys' car park to the list of places he's banned from (along with all Burger Kings' and McDonalds' in Munich), thanks to his unquenchable thirst for cider - I clearly remember that!

Roule (sp?) doing a Tom Jones impression with a broom....

"Les" and "Bo"  ;D Cheesy ;D Cheesy ;D Cheesy....

Sure there will be loads more accounts here too (Bryn??) and we'll probably see a few new members on here too. Ben and I acted as walking billboards for much of the weekend (I took three YNAI T shirts  ;D)

Wow what a fantastic week it was!  It was such a busy few days that there is just too much to type up on here, we will be doing an article for the BN mag and we will try to push some articles into other naturist magazines aswell.  We will also be having a piece in the Guardian at some point, I should be advised the date so will let you know.

It will either be in Germany or Holland next year, we will know within in the next month or so.

We had 80 people in total which was a great turn out :-)

We can not post the photos on here as we only have permission to post them on the YBN board and for BN use.

Thanks

Debbie
