i think that one day someone probably will!
although, it\'s kind of to do with the fact that nakedness isn\'t actually very sexy, whereas skimpy or revealling clothing actually attracts more attention because it\'s titilating and teases people with what can\'t be seen as well as what can.
Yup, I\'m sure a designer will manage to pull off an \"Emperor’s New Clothes\" deal at some point. I could see an actress turning up to a premiere or awards ceremony wearing just the label...

Anyway, I think that those outfits serve two purposes really. They obviously do draw attention, much more so than complete nudity would. I\'m sure there\'d be much initial excitement and whirring of cameras, but people would soon get fed up with it. I mean, if everyone turned up naked, they\'d all be wearing the same dress! (Shock horror, that\'d never do!)
Secondly, they allow the wearer to show how fabulously wealthy she is and to boast about being best friends with the designer. Half a sqaure inch of mesh doesn\'t come cheap, it seems!
If they all went naked, I’m sure they’d still have to accessorise too. With the “most shocking dress” competition eliminated, they’d move on to “most interesting handbag” and “most bizarre hair”. Or something of that ilk… :----
