For some reason, \"Dancer in the Dark\" was the first movie that came to my mind. It sure made me think a lot. And I don\'t remember crying that much at the end of a movie. I\'m no reference when it comes to crying in movies though, I do that everytime I watch Everwood.

The only other movies of the top of my head that I can remember that make you think are THE GAME, and The Bone Collector. I am just way behind in my movies, with this whole school thing, time just seems to be eatin up with that!

I can think of a whole bunch being really into movies lately - but just to name a few I would have to say: American Beauty, Rules of Attraction, American Psycho, Eternal Sunshine(my favorite movie), Pulp Fiction, and Resivor Dogs.

All of the above were very strange to me at first, but the more I watched I understood and really enjoyed them just like with Fight Club!

There are alot of movies outthere that pose some very good questions and trigger the wheels inside that big rusty cranium of mine. Fight Club is definitely one of them, and one of my all time favorites, and it poses some serious questions about our generation and the kind of (dull) life it leads, and what do we make out of our lives. The Matrix is another example, with its existential questions about the difference between reality and perception and what defines both. To me, both films\'ve changed the way I think to some level (not to mention both films being implausibly cool).

I agree with \"The Game\" - funny it was directed by the same guy who did \"Fight Club\"!

Movies where the ending is a serious twist on the whole movie: \"Sixth Sense\" (duh) and in the same vein, \"The Others\". \"The Usual Suspects\" is another obvious one. And so is \"Fallen\".

Now, movies that make you think about your place in this life? Well, one of the best ones of this year comes to mind straight away: \"The History of Violence\". Stunning. Gruesome. Deep.

All in one. Not for kids and the feint, this is one of the most powerful films I\'ve seen in quite some time. (check my xanga for more impressions - No. 21st entry)

Fight club is a classic.  It is filled with excellent one liners.
