Reading that article Sara, I wonder if the mayor hasn\'t just climbed down following something of an uprising from the local citizens... Deniability is a great thing, huh?

Apart from the rather dull documentary I had issues with the subject matter because as somebody from a Christian background I find a Chistrian-only nudist camp as contradictory and against the all-inclusive principles of Christianity which makes it a religion open to everyone.
The good, the bad, and the ugly. There are all of these in every religion i think. There have even been a few churches here who have based their promotion on this issue alone. Saying \"we open our doors to everyone, not just a select few\" or something like that, which tells me that its a problem and that some chistrian churches do close their doors depending on who you are. Which I suppose they do not see as a big deal, as their seems to be a church around every corner here in the states. Two new ones, rather large ones, were built recently Directly across the highway from eachother. From the signs, one might think they are different groups. .... Id better shut up now before i find myself on a No offence to anyone here, but things like that just make me glad to be following a more Pagan path.

Well, I\'ve just watched it and I agree with all the earlier comments.
The narration and the choice of background music for a few segments, in particular, poked fun (at least in my view) and the whole segment on the Cherokee resort was most peculiar...
Overall, I felt that it was more of a documentary about religion than it was a documentary about naturism (especially as it wore on) and as such, I didn\'t really find it all that interesting. It raised one or two interesting points, but they weren\'t really new ones.
I loved the phrase \"Thank God I\'m an atheist!\", used by the lady resident in the Florida Naturist Park though - I\'ll have to use that!
Anyway, I\'ve put it onto a DVD - though unfortunately my chapter marks seem to have got lost in the finalisation process. My \'normal\' DVD player can\'t see the chapters, in any case (the program only runs for 48 minutes anyway though, so it\'s not a big deal)

Its kinda of funny. Here in the states at least, pretty much everyone says something like that. For most, and admittedly, \'God\' has become a slang for a word of expression, with people saying it, more as just something to say than in actual belief. I was/am in the habit myself mainly due to everyone else i live around being in the habit of it.. Tho i do try daily to break the habit.. I try to catch myself saying stuff like \"thank god\", god d****it\" or \"anything in reference to hell. Its not that i think they are offencive, i just don\'t believe in them. I think that resident in Florida is just use to saying stuff like that without thinking about its reference.

Yeah, I get what you\'re saying Wolf. A great many people use the word \"God\" as an expletive almost, including me, I have to say.
I just felt like putting that quote on a T-shirt or something (nevermind that it would be highly offensive to lots of people!)

Haha. having that on a T-shirt would be funny  and i doubt it would really be any more offensive than most of the other shirts ive seen, especally the ones about religion.
My friends has one shirt that says..
Front :\"There are two people f***ing on the back of my shirt\" Back : \"Just kidding, beleve in Jesus\" (with a pitcure of the buddy jesus from Dogma)

You can read more about the ongoing debate between Bill Martin and a few UK viewers at: http://groups.google.com/group/uk.rec.naturist and http://groups.google.com/group/rec.nudeThe American nudists hate Bill Martin with a vengeance, especially with claims that he has ripped people off and anyone who disagrees with him he drags into court to sue. You would think that at his age there would be a change of tack, but he seems to be banging his head against a brick wall. One of the main criticisms of this documentary is that it is all people over the age of 50, and it fails to convince any young people that naturism is a fun and enjoyable way of life. Even though I am a Christian, I think some of these \"Christian nudists\" should not adopt the idea that simply going naked makes us better people. We all have our sins, and simply accepting Jesus into our lives doesn\'t stop us from hurting or offending other people. I asked a prominent British naturist guy to send me a DVD of this documentary, but going from what you guys have said on here, I don\'t think that I\'d watch it more than once.

There were a few younger people featured Dario, but they were pretty much portrayed as hedonists and didn\'t actually get to speak.... Probably library footage.
