Hi everyone,

The Channel 4 production \"God\'s Nudists\" is going to air on British TV this Wednesday (18th October).

If we have any UK members on here, could you please tape me a copy if you\'re going to watch it?

I will give you my snail mail address through private mail.

I\'m really excited for Bill Martin getting this production to air, especially after seeing him on the Tucker Carlson show.  :-D

I don\'t have a TV capture card, but I\'ll probably Sky+ this and should be able to stick it on a DVD when I play it back.

Could be interesting, but not sure if I\'ll be able to watch it (most likely I\'ll fall asleep halfway through). I don\'t think the idea of Christian naturism is new - in fact, if you believe that the bible is 100% true, then Adam and Eve were the first naturists - but it will be interesting to see how the idea goes down with some of the more conservative religious figures around these days.

Hi Guys and Gals,

I put this into the Sky+ Planner last night, so it\'ll be picked up for recording and I\'ll probably watch it back (whilst recording it onto a DVD) tomorrow

A word of warning though - I found out today that this program is part of Channel 4\'s \'Porn Again\' season - so there could be a rather negative spin on some of the content. The season is supposed to explore the links between sex, nudity and religion. I won\'t prejudge it, but it may give you some indication as to how the program is likely to be presented. Then again, it is Channel 4, so it is more likely to examine any such links more objectively than the other main commercial channels.

Right,

There\'s a pretty ferocious storm here at the moment and I lost my digital satellite signal, briefly, earlier on - so I have the DVD recorder taking the analogue signal from the aerial as I type. The weather seems to have calmed down a bit now though, so hopefully the Sky+ recording will be OK (it takes a LOT of rain to knock the signal out)

What I shall do, assuming the Sky+ recording comes out OK, is put that onto a DVD too (it\'ll be much higher quality, coming from a digital source, plus I can cut all the commercials out)

Hmmm, was that Divine intervention, Michael? Who knows .... I forgot it was on, but, having spoken to someone who watched it, it doesn\'t sound all that interesting .....  ???

Hi there, yes I saw the documentary and believe me you didn\'t miss much. Very dull and disjoineted. I was so close to switching off out of boredom but stuck with it in the hope it would get better but that was not to be. It just seemed to be one of those typical British documentaries trying to show the Americans as slightly off the rails with all the steretypes imaginable.

Apart from the rather dull documentary I had issues with the subject matter because as somebody from a Christian background I find a Chistrian-only nudist camp as contradictory and against the all-inclusive principles of Christianity which makes it a religion open to everyone. He claimed he was a Quaker but as people rightly pointed out in the programme there was very little Quaker about him. Best wishes William

Yes, William, totally agree.  Heck, I stayed in just to watch it.

I agree with the previous posts that it wasnt the best documentory on naturism that Ive seen - it couldnt make its mind up whether it wanted to poke fun or take the topics seriously and so fell somewhere in between !

That said, I did think it was interesting to see just how hard it is to set up a club/resort and it raised a few points that I wouldnt have thought of !

On the whole though a let down. Interesting subject matter dealt with poorly...

Oh well.

Sky+ did record it properly (checked this morning) - so I shall probably still watch it tonight.  :-

Those who stayed awake to the end will have been left with the impression that Natura had finally found their perfect site and had the blessing of the Belton City Council, so all was well.

Evidently, not quite !   http://www.independentmail.com/and/news/article/0,1886,AND_8203_5046206,00.html
