I was thinking of trying to contact/join a non-landed naturist club in my area, because that is the closest naturist venu around where i live.  Everything else is at least a 2 hour or more drive away.  I read about two non-landed clus in my area, but they seem to cater to older people and normaly don\'t have kids at their events.  I was wondering if any of you have had experience with a non-landed club?  Is it mainly just old people sitting at someone\'s house eating and drinking?

Thanks for your input.

Tyler, What I have found out, the one time I was with a non-landed club was, for bowling.  Yes, based on my trial run, the crowd was above the thirties mark, but Jojo and myself still had fun. Jojo and myself are planning on going to other events to see what other kinds of stuff they have going on. I am a firm believer in joining and supporting the local clubs. They help out the life style, making themselfs known and are often protectors of local nude places. I know there are a couple of groups here is WI that both make sure Mazo beach is clean and educate others about the site. We (the youth of naturism) need to get envolved more regardless of the age spread. The generation gap is there, because youth say well no one close to my age so I won\'t go. Do some quick math...If you get two of your friends close in age to join the life style and go to  the local clubs both landed and non-landed, and they get two of their friends close to their age to join and their friends get two of their friends to join...and on and on and on....How many youth would then be involved if the process keeps going? We ARE the future of the lifestyle! I make it a point to have fun with who ever is there and what ever the event is at which I\'m at!

Hi Ty.  You have a good question and Justin is smack on in saying that the domino way of doing things will lead to positive results.  I would contact the local N group and enquire about it specifically.  My experience with a non-landed N group have been positive in respect to your question but each area and each group has it\'s own personality too.  TNS is more youth oriented I believe then AANR right now, at least for the over 12 group.  Yet, that is a general statement and certainly there are many exceptions to that.
In south Tx, there was/is a beach travel group and that was where we became involved in the lifestyle actually.  It might have been the mood down there on Padre, chilling, no worries, or something but there were families with kids (including ours) that would go way up the beach each Sunday for cook-outs and it was a very cross-gender, cross-age group group.  Here in Fl, the Central Fl. Naturists are that too but to a lesser extent and they frequent Playlinda.  I think you might find some kids up your way who would go with you if you dare to take that step to enquire.  Give them a call! And..keep us advised!

I would suggest going to a landed club for a first visit if at all possible.

I gave a non-landed club a coupel meetings myself, and both events were \"lets meet at so and so\'s house\".  It was cliqueish, the average age was higher than that of the resorts, if you can beleive that, and I did not enjoy myself.

I guess they are all different.  What the hey, go try it and see how it goes.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your responses and advice.  Top you def. are right about the whole domino effect, its just finding that first friend to go with that can be hard.  But maybe there is at least one or two young/younger members at this club.  I think i will at least get in touch with this group in my area to find out more about them.  Maybe even get an invite to one of their events.  I\'ll post what there responses are, to keep you all up to date.  Have a good one.

Hi Ty.  The club route for a first timer, as Godzilla said is usually the best route to take.  No lookie loos to make your friends feel uncomfortable.

I would contact the other kids from NC though and devise a plan.  As you know, there are a couple or three on here.

Hey that\'s a good idea Danee.  I would definately feel more comfortable if there was someone my age that was there.  Talk to you later.
