Hi Again

I see that you still don\'t get what the rest of the world is talking about...

I\'m not saying we should outlaw anything that could harm, I\'m saying you need to outlaw the rights to carry guns or knifes.

Restrictions on freedom.. .WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT!

We have our freedom down here in Australia, more so than in the USA and we have outlawed guns and knifes from being carried in public.

So restricting freedom is a crock of shit cop out!

You have got me all rieled up here, War, Guns, and religion are my three top pet hates so I can see neither of us are going to get any where, I have a squillion statistics to rebut your statistics so, lets just agree to disagree.

Rob, happy you are online.  I was looking at AU laws and history and found there was a massive firearm buy back in 1996, yet this did not effect firearm homicides. About the only thing this put a dent in is suicides.

Here...

http://www.aic.gov.au/publications/cfi/cfi066.html

Funny you mentioned knives being banned sence they are currently the most commonly used method of homicide there.  However, even before the draconian measures your violence rate was still low.

The funny thing is, you are fighting tooth and nail to get rid of something you disagree with. Even when people used something legally you feel it nessisary to remove it from them because you do not like it.  This interferes with personal freedoms.  You do it under the guise that sence people can be hurt from hunting that it should be banned.  However, how many surfers have died by accedents? How many skiiers have splatted a tree or have died in nasty falls? How about banning cars because a drunk driver hit and killed a innocent person driving home?   Should we ban surfing, skiing, and driving because they are all a potentially dangerous activity?  All you are trying to do is justify why your belief should be adopted by the world because you claim the sport is dangerous.  I hate to break it to you Rob, but most sports do have fatalities due to accidents.

Hi again

You have got me so so annoyed right now....

Your are arguing against nothing to do with what I\'m saying..

You simply do not get what I\'m saying...

Where did I say anything about sport ?

You need to read what I am saying, not assume what you think I\'m saying...

I am simply saying that guns should not be carried by anyone other than by law enforcement officers for law enforcement.. not by everyone.

Lets just agree to disagree

Going with Rob, as I agree with not wanting thread to upset anyone, what do people think about the current human nature?, How or what ways can you think of to get every human to improve to make the world a better place?

Anyone...anyone take on this new subject?

Okay....let\'s just say, let the past topics go, Move on or it will result in the closing of this post.... This topic is getting out of control.
Agree to disagree.....there is nothing wrong with that....EVERYONE has been warned... furthere discussions will result in warnings or ban from boards.

Sorry, but I don\'t see why that would be threatened here. I really dont. Perhaps I am missing something and that certainly IS a possibility but a breach of terms? Comon follks, threaten a ban because someone disagrees without using hate or put-downs?  A bit on the abuse side I think and not cool.
I totally side with Rob on the handgun thing. Most definately I do and agree with him but...close it off saying we agree to disagree ok?  Not threatening.  Again, if I missed something, then, I\'m sorry.

And if I didn\'t, well then...LETS BE FUCKING NICE, OK?

Well, looks like I owe a apology.  When I originally posted my last reply I did not see the last sentence in Rob\'s post.  Had I seen that I would never have continued the debate.  So, Rob...Sorry man.
