Anyways Doug, do you actually like Jeremy Clarkson or not ?    I wish you\'d stop beating about the bush.

Rofl Sara and Doug. Don\'t even get me started on the likes of Jeremy Clarkson or the like of his brothers in arms Richard Littlejohn and Peter Hitchens.  Evil William

Top Gear actually holds the highest viewing figures for BBC and whilst there\'s not a lot shown on BBC that comes close to comparable material, it\'s still estimated to have over 350 million viewers worldwide, 5 million of whom watch the programme each week in the UK so it can\'t be that bad Doug. As for quentin Wilson and Tiff Needell, they\'re both so dry and lacking in character and are you telling me that either of them or VB-H for that matter is short of a few quid either? Perhaps Fifth Gear is struggling with the ratings a bit which is why it feels the need to start the new series in a café!

Hi there, it depends if you\'re talking about his views on cars or his views on society in general. Yes, he\'s great on cars and on Top Gear. It\'s just a pity he doesn\'t stick to talking about them. Sadly his reactionary news paper columns about wider society leave a lot to be desired. Love him on Top Gear but can\'t stand him being let loose on anything else. Best wishes William

F1 *very* exciting after China, however i think the numbskulls that broadcast F1 in Oz will make us wait to see the Japanese Grand Prix at 11pm

F1 is always exciting to me, despite Max\'s best efforts...  Roll Eyes

I\'m getting a bit upset about ITV\'s shoddy treatment of qualifying (yet again). The Chinese session wasn\'t live and the Japanese session won\'t be either.  :x Still, I realise that a lot of countries have it far worse (particularly Australia) and I have access to RTL anyway - so I can still watch the sessions live, albeit with German commentary! I use it to fill in the ad breaks on ITV too . Works well most of the time - though they do sometimes take a break at the same moment.  :x

I\'m feeling a bit sad though... last Japanese GP at Suzuka.  :\'( This year is going to be the end of an era, in more ways than one.

Geez Doug, we got u fired up!!!

I dont know much of JC\'s journalism aside from a documentary he did a couple of yrs ago for the BBC called \"my favourite Briton\", but I (as an Aussie) really quite enjoy him on Top Gear.

And dont attack my VB-H!! Leave her alone, that squeal of delight when she plants her foot on the loud pedal sets off some mmmm thoughts!!

It\'s a feast of motor racing in Oz this weekend with the Bathurst 1000 - 3 days.

Saw the Silverstone GP Masters today with Murray commentating with Alan Jones, how good was it to hear Murray again, even if he is starting to show some signs of age (not nearly as much as some of the drivers in the wet it should be added!)

It\'d be better if the Japanese GP didn\'t always have to occur DURING Bathurst...

I\'ll try to catch some of the action from Mount Panorama, but having to get up for the Grand Prix at 5AM means I need to go to sleep early!
