I\'m not from a nudist family, my parents don\'t know I\'m a nudist but in this weather it is normal for me to lounge around the house naked. For those of you who are from naturist families, how do you cope with the weather?

I\'m not from a naturist family but this question does strike me as being a bit odd. I would imagine that people from naturist families go naked in the warm weather and either put something on or turn the heating up when it\'s cooler!

Hi there A Londoner, that´s a really good question. How do people cope? I thought you came out to your mum as a nudist a couple of months ago. I am in Spain with my granny at the mo and so hot. We are near the beach. I am enjoying it but it´s not naturist and it just seems odd seeing everyone clothed on the beach. Weird!
When it´s cooler I turn up the heater. The only thing is my flat faces a court yard so I have to close my curtains when nude. What do others do? Best wishes William

I only asked because I have read some of Aymz\'s posts and thought she was from texas or somewhere, but was shocked to see the Union Jack under her username! I like being nude in the summer months, but there aren\'t many.

It depends on how you term the word naturist: my parents are naturists and go naked at the beach and their club and if the weather is suitably hot, at home too.
I stopped this in my teens, but now in my 20\'s with my own place I tend to follow that practice too.
That said, you do hear of folk turning the heating up full bore in the winter just to be naked and I find that rather silly.

I get a lot of these cold problems too, since I live in Ireland (where we get about an half an hour of good weather each year), so I\'m mostly nude indoors. But then I miss the feeling of the wind all around my body and such, so I always try to take advantage of sunny periods.

I think it\'s partly a question of what you\'re used to. Many people associate being naked with summer holidays, so they only strip off when it\'s hot. In the UK it\'s warm enough to be comfortable for most of the year, except in the depths of winter. Instead of covering up the minute the sun goes in, give your body a chance to acclimatise. If ou\'re able to, try doing something naked outside during the autumn months - as long as you\'re reasonably active you\'ll hardly notice the temperature, although if you just sit still and read a book you\'ll want to cover up in a hurry!
My parents have always been very eco-conscious, and our house has Scandinavian triple glazed windows and very efficient heating. This means that the house is always warm enough for clothes to be optional. Student accommodation is another matter, but even there I\'ve been luckier than some.
