The nudist resort nearest to me : Paradise Valley

A very true description from a travel site below :

The best of both worlds...visit historic Atlanta from a Naturist home base to get a taste of southern culture!
This naturist resort nestled in the woods north of Atlanta was added to the Paradise family, but retains it's down home atmosphere.  People are nice, and there's always something to do!  Motel rooms are excellently designed and spacious.  On-site restaurant is separate from the Club House with bar and dance floor, and separately managed.  Fill your days lounging by the pool, hiking the woods, or visiting the parts of Atlanta you've always wanted to see!  Enjoy a day of city exploring topped off with a nice dinner, soak in the hot tub, and evening entertainment.

I want to visit :

Lake Como, Paradise Lakes, Cypress Cove, Haulover Beach, Deer Park, and Olive Dell.

My girlfriend and i got to go to the beach for the first time this summer and we decided to try out a new beach, we used to go to werrong south of sydney but even though the beach its self is excellent the hike in and especially out is a killer. so we thought wed try out little congwong an unofficial C/O beach near sydney. This beach is perfect, an easy drive with plenty of parking and only a 5-10 min walk to get to. The local council is trying to get rid of the nudists here erecting sings and such telling us that it isn't a nude beach and it is illegal to be naked there but judging by the amount of people there this w/e they don't seem to be having much luck. There was a good mix of people there ranging from families with young children right up to the elderly, there was quiet a few textile there but i didn't notice any gawkers they were there for the same reason we were, to enjoy the sun and the beach. So we've now got a new favorite beach and if you're ever in sydney i suggest you try it out.

Cheers
Josh

P.S. there is a campain going to get its status changed into a legal C/O beach but so far no luck you can check it out here                          http://www.gangart.com/freebeach/

I don't know about in the US but you can't in the UK unless it's like a dedicated nudist beach. But me and my sister do go for walks in the summer at the woods near where I live. Not many people around but I usually carry something to quickly cover up with if we see someone.

Well, a very good question RC.  I think the law is vague on it.  I know on the National Seashores I have been on, the situation seems to be a little hazy.  Is it illegal?  No, I dont think so but heres the situation at Playlinda, unless it has changed and I believe it might be in the works, while the federal laws do not prohibit it, the Park service allows the local county to come in an enforce their own views and laws and that is where you get into the double confusion.   On S. Padre Island, where I was raised in Texas, it was fine and not illegal way north of the town itself in a beautiful setting actually.  I can recall a ranger coming by our groups and waving as they passed driving on the beach northward.  Best always to google it when contemplating sunning your buns on a National Park.

Alright thanks for that info. The natianal parks where I live, like Rocky mountian Natinal park I think get too rural for the county to come in, I not very sure about this?

I researched this when the matter was mentioned by a member in the Lake Tahoe area.  Basically, what Danee says is correct.

There is no general federal law prohibiting nude use of national parks, however rules can be established by park administrators.  You need to check in the Park Service, Forest Service or ranger's office and elsewhere to see what orders are posted.

For example, in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness:

Quote
The following wilderness regulations are in effect for this area. Not all regulations are in effect for every wilderness. Contact the Forest Service office for more specific information about the regulations listed.

o PROHIBITED: BEING PUBLICLY NUDE. PUBLICLY NUDE MEANS: NUDE IN ANY PLACE WHERE A PERSON MAY BE OBSERVED BY ANOTHER PERSON. ANY PERSON IS NUDE IF THE PERSON HAS FAILED TO COVER THE RECTAL AREA, PUBIC AREA OR THE GENITALS. A FEMALE PERSON IS ALSO NUDE IF SHE HAS FAILED TO COVER BOTH BREASTS BELOW A POINT IMMEDIATELY ABOVE THE TOP OF THE AREOLA. EACH SUCH COVERING MUST BE FULLY OPAQUE. NO PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 10 YEARS SHALL BE CONSIDERED PUBLICLY NUDE.

States, counties and municipalities may have laws prohibiting nudity, and park rangers (as well as local law enforcement officers) may enforce those laws.

For further information, see HarleyNude's post.

Locations for enjoying au natural: my home, my pool in my family's house in the country where I spend summer holidays, Pinedo beach near Valencia (Spain) , Cabo las Huertas rocky beach in Alicante (Spain). There are the places I know and I have stayed.

Places advisable where I would like to be: the beach El Playazo de Vera in Almería (Spain), Sierra Natura resort in Spain

greece - corfu

very nice naturist beach at the north of the island. village is called arillas, and if you go down the high street you will get to the beach. head right, walk for 5 minutes and you come to a great secluded spot that lots of naturists visit, can be relatively busy there, but better than most other beaches on the island.

great family friendly atmosphere as well, and never had any problems or seen shady characters either! really recommend it. oh, and also, the water is really really shallow, so great for kids! you can literally walk out 60 metres or more - stunning!

Wonderfull news (at least for me Tongue). There's finally a new resort here in Costa Rica that is clothing optional.

Located in the rainforest area, and near to some of the caribbean beaches. Mostly designed for couples (guessing for the capacity of the rooms).
www.miamorresort.com

I will try to go at the end of the month so i will report about it.

I'm just happy, this is the first hotel in my country that is clothing optional, so i will consider it as a big step.
