I\'m sorry you think this. And I\'m sorry for the stuff that German newspapers wrote about italian people. Anyway, I\'ll continue to love German people, for your country, your language and your way of life and I tell you a secret...I wished a final match against Germany and not against France.

i don\'t have anything against Italians at all, it shouldn\'t have sounded that way... but hey in the match against germany they made more then one foul and that isn\'t fairness in sports at all....

Rather interesting...  I speak a little bit of French, and today at Disneyland I met a family from France that didn\'t speak English.  They also had not seen today\'s game, so I had the pleasure of breaking the news to them in French that Italy had won and Zidane got himself booted.

Oh dear, they struggled against Australia getting through cos of a dive and then dived so much today the ref ignored them...oh what could have been for the socceroos!!!

Well done to the Italians, it was a hard fought game. I was torn between who I\'d go for. Zidane\'s headbutt was disgraceful and such a shame that it was his last act on a Football field - however before criticising him too much, it would be interesting to hear what provoked the action - either way the red card was justified.

Congratulations to Italy !

I think just a real pity about Zidane.  He was really great player and he will be remembered for one moment of madness in his last game.

Despite his actions in the second half that got him sent off, Zidane was actually awarded the Golden Ball for Best Player of the World Cup:

\"France captain Zinedine Zidane was named the best player at the World Cup despite being sent off in the final against Italy for head-butting Italian defender Marco Materazzi, FIFA announced on Monday.\"
http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,2144,2084790,00.html

Apparently the votes were cast in the first half of the game before his red card offence.

When does the team of the Cup be released? I believe there was a \'world team\' that would be released after the event (am I correct?).

Just waiting to see if the Aussies will get anyone in - the tip here is that Lucas Neill should be in - I believe he should.

Zidane\'s selection will be controversial due to events of the last 20 minutes of the game, which is a shame, because he probably was the leading player of the tournament and the only one who stood up to be counted of the \'world rated\' players.

Congrats to Italy. I watched the whole tournament and thought they were the best team there.

And even though the US team played two of the worst games I\'ve ever seen them play in the group stage, they did play well against Italy and pulled out a 1-1 tie with them even with 9 players the whole second half. That makes me sort of proud in an embarassed, my team sucks kind of way Wink

Well, I think that sunday I have had my last joy about football for many years. I\'m a Juventus\'s fan.

Today or tomorrow we will have just the first grade of judgement. Then we have another grade. And maybe other two. It\'s a mess!!
I dont know exactly how it will finish all this f... story. I just know that a dark future will expect me and my team.

The prosecutors want Juve to be relegated to Serie C and 6 points deducted, Serie B and 15 point deduction for Lazio and Fiorentina and Serie B and 3 point deduction for Milan.
