Hi fellow young naturists, below is a copy of an email sent to us from a 15 year old naturist called Alan. I dont know where he is from as he did not say in his email but I though you may all want to read it. I am 15, I have a younger brother. We were brought up not having to wear clothes in the house, in the yard or when we go to some beaches. My dad put up a fence in the backyard so we don\'t have to worry about being seen. We\'ve both got friends who come over and sometimes bring their parents. Our parents only allow some people over naked. One of my buddies was here for the first time a couple of months but didn\'t tell his parents and mine weren\'t home. He loved it. He told his mom about skinny dipping and was told it was ok. There\'s no reason for anyone to feel ashamed about their bodies. But when my mom came out and saw us laying on the blankets and Danny had an erection, he didn\'t know what to do. My mom ignored it, just the way she does it when I get one. The only thing guys have to do is use lots of sun screen. I\'m not allowed out without it. Hope this note encourages others to try being naked for the fun. Alan

Uhm.
Uhm.... (trying to think of a way to say this nicely)..
Personally, if I had a privacy fence at my house and my son and his friends were nude tanning or swimming, I would have no problem with it at all, as long as the other childs parents were aware of it. But when the friend is obviously sexually aroused by it at the age of 15 (which is what seems to be implied in the letter), I think there might be some confusion there between nudity and sex.
I for one have been a nudist all my life, and can say that in my 33 years, I can only recall getting an erection once at a resort, and that was when I was 12 or 13. My son, to the best of my knowledge has never gotten one at a resort. Of all the friends I have taken to resorts, none of them have either. I also in all my time at resorts have only ever seen two other people with erections, one immediately rolled onto his stomach (proper thing to do) and the other covered up with a towel until it went away.
Again, my impression from this letter is that the writer is confusing nudity with sex to some degree. Not harmful, but certainly misdirected I think.

\"There\'s no reason for anyone to feel ashamed about their bodies. But when my mom came out and saw us laying on the blankets and Danny had an erection, he didn\'t know what to do. My mom ignored it, just the way she does it when I get one.\" I just don\'t know...this seems like a typical teen age boy with raging hormones. While this maybe a one time occurace, it is quick to jump to the conclusion that there is confusion between nudity and sex. \"But when the friend is obviously sexually aroused by it at the age of 15 (which is what seems to be implied in the letter), I think there might be some confusion there between nudity and sex.\"GZ As you have said your self, it just happens some times, if the wind blows the right way it may cause a reaction in some, so with raging hormones at the age of 15....I would believe that because this might be a new experience for the friend, he might not have known to cover up. Now if the letter said that every time Danny came over and they sunned as soon as they striped it happened I would agree more with the confusion between nudity and sex. In my humble opinion, Top

It\'s sometimes amazing to me how certain threads pop-up ( ) in various forms on all the N forums. Like G, I have seen a couple at a resort but only one full blown one (Danee stop it!) and that was at Cypress. A kid fell asleep on a lounger. In middle school, we girls knew why boys carry their bookbags in front of them in the hall. Beaches, a few but mostly walker/gawkers who were flaunting. Boys with woodies? Normal and of course they happen. I live with a 16 year old after all. (sorry Toffer if you read this but hey -- its all good) It occurs thru no thought of sexual topics we all know. Yet, not sure if that writer was living out a bit of fantasy either. Woodies are Woodies are Woodies! -Danee

I fell asleep on a lounger at Cypress once. Once.
Got woken up by an old lady 3 hours later who told me I was snoring and looked burned. The front of my legs have never been so burned before or since.
Of course my son was too busy feeding quarters into the pool table to say anything to me.. sigh.

I agree with top that the case of the 15 year old, it was a simple case of hormones. It happens, we know this. In regards to the confusion between nudity and sex, I don\'t think that there was any implication of anything sexual. Like top said, some people get reactions when the wind blows the right way. I think there is a distinct difference, not that I watch for them but, between an erection that just happens, and one that is caused by someone being turned on in conjunction with sexual thoughts. Hard to believe anybody can fall asleep at Cypress, zilla, what with all the activities going on & Cheeks music blasting out  To pick up on others comments now. Dan, well, what can I say? You love the male appendage & thankfully, you appreciate that we can\'t always control certain things quite as much as we would prefer. As to confusing nudity with sexual feelings, I\'m sorry to sound negative & perhaps even downright rude but ... I smell a rat. Having read on a different thread that \'Alan\' is from Scotland, I\'m afraid I now don\'t believe the poster is really who he claims to be. Various reasons, including :- 1) We don\'t have back yards in Scotland, we have back gardens 2) We call our mother mum, not mom 3) In Scotland, we don\'t use lots of sunscreen, we seldom get weather that is consistently good for more than 4 or 5 days at a time (a tad tenuous as we are currently sweltering in a mini heatwave with temps in the mid 20\'s for the last 4 days & forecast to next weekend at least! ) I suspect this is the work of someone who is here for reasons other than to chat with like minds, I hope I\'m wrong, but it will be interesting to see if \'Alan\' gets in touch with the moderators again. You know, the old pool. I musta been really tired. 2) We call our mother mum, not mom

I have to agree, it does happen. I think most girls understand that boys are going to get hard every now and again. Especially with teens, its all hormonal at that age. If you live with nudist boys or are around them enough, chances are really good you\'ll see it at some point. I\'d say boys, when it happens, just don\'t parade it around, and girls don\'t gawk, and its usually a complete non-issue. Just part of bein nude!

Being in a situation where nudity is normal for a long peroid of time, it is bound to happen. It is not something to make a big deal about.

I agree that It was just probably raging hormones. (Hey... happens to me somtimes! ) It hapens to us teens, expecially if we are nude for the first time! Like Jade said, \"Just part of bein\' nude!:D\" I say thankGOD it happens! Id rather have a semi on then not be able to, right? Right. but for real when Im around other ppl at the cove or even the beach and doing stuff, even with girls im interested in sorta, it doesnt. If im alone, it might but thats ok.

Interesting topic...
I have never had any issues at a resort. However, almost everytime I wake up, I usually have wood. This would be my only issue of getting a erection at a resort. Oh well, these things do happen.

I think I might have had that happen once when I was at a resort when I was 13 or so. I have seen other people once or twice have it happen to them. One rolled over on it, the other got in the pool. Either way, as long as you dont start utilizing it in any way (swordfighting with friends, dipping it into peoples drink as a stirrer, spearing fish, shuffleboard stick, springboard for diving into the pool) I imagine it would just go away quickly enough. More so when you look around at the people at most resorts.
Me personally, I dont think I could get aroused at a resort anyway, would be too weird. Much too weird.

I don\'t think that a boy who gets an erection while practicing nudism has got something to do with sexual behaviour. I think that it can happen to any man who walks arounth on a nudist beach or something.
