A very distant relative of mine, David Stern, was in the news today; negotiations between NBA-players and club owners are dragging on with no agreement in sight; imho Mr. Stern needs to show some leadership and get things to a solution fast. What do you guys say? Aaron

To be truthfully honest, if the NBA season decided to give itself a year off I won't mind.  I'm preoccupied with the NFL, NHL season getting started, and the EPL in full swing.  I'm gonna be okay.

Can't say I've been following it much, but they'll eventually get it resolved, the NFL did! So many people are losing out on money now.

I wonder how this works with player contracts? Say if this season was supposed to be the final year of a player's contract, is this it, or will next year be his final year?

I would encourage wages to be paid by the players union. The strike would last a week when the union money runs out.
