This June and July, I spent 7 weeks in Paris, with my wife Jennifer and our kids. Overall we had a great time, but there was no chance for any nudie activity whatsoever  . Well, we survived , but decided to go to Glen Eden near Corona, CA over the weekend. To be honest, what we experienced there was kind of a big disappointment: not a soul Jennifer's and my age, no kids to pay with ours, most guests over 50 years of age, and many of them in bad shape (overweight, unkempt, etc). Here at YNAI, I was many years ago sharply criticized for calling those people "eyesores", and I apologized for my choice of the word. Still, Jennifer and I just didn't feel good in the company those people. I know most of us find "body acceptance" to be a key element of social nudity; but please ... What are your thoughts on this subject?

Spending 7 weeks in Paris sounds awesome by the way, how do you get to do that??? You must be a teacher?

I agree with you that most resorts are filled with mostly old, out of shape, non active people. Not that there's anything wrong with that (being old, I mean), but it's sometimes boring for someone active like myself. I only go to the resort near me about 2-3 times each summer, but it would be much more frequent if there were more young people there. I've even emailed the resort asking them what they plan to do to try to get more young people there, and ignored my question, so I guess they don't care about my demographic, or the future of their resort.

Quite the opposite, Storm29, I'm a music student, participating in Paris at a 7-week practice session, for cello students on a "slightly advanced" level  rofl (see my entry in the, "can anyone play an instrument?"-section).

Regarding your observations at a nudie resort: I agree 100%! And if those owners, administrators, managers don't get their act together soon, it's quite possible that there wouldn't be any nudie resorts left in this country  banghead! Aaron

In many places in this country the nude culture is dead. Not dying, dead. Not everywhere certainly, but it is being erased. Not sometime never, maybe, but already gone. There is no coming back from this gap between generations or even between male and female. I have been criticized for mentioning the sluggard and dull on this website before. But it is what it is. They are old, they are fugly, the are eyesores, that does not make them bad people. Of course not. But if nudism is supposed to be about health then we have got stop walking around like the living dead. Whatever happened to the vibrant and dedicated men and women who started the culture? I think being dedicated has gone out of style.

We didn't really try, grahambell; I was busy participating in and practicing for my cello class ten hours every day. Didn't see much of Paris either  banghead lol! Aaron
