I wanted to share an experience of mine that I had recently. It is the Evergreen State College's Mud Bay Run that happens every year in the morning on the day of graduation. It is clothing optional, but also very physically demanding, and in my opinion, completely legitimate bragging material. It is only about 500 yards to run, but takes 10-15 minutes because everyone gets stuck in the mud, and pulling one's foot out of the mud, or simply moving, requires an extraordinary amount of effort. For anyone who has not lived in the Puget Sound, or in an area with tidal mud flats, the mud in these tidal estuaries is composed mainly of decomposing organic matter in an anoxic environment where there are methane- and hydrogen sulfide-producing bacteria. That means that the mud smells absolutely foul, and if you are unfortunate enough to get some in your mouth, you will want to puke. After the run, I did see three guys puking. Since I can't post links yet (new member banghead) it is at [ADMIN WARNING]: Even though the link is in pieces it is still a link and you can not post links in posts as a new member.(just take out the spaces). There is a link to the photos inside the post.

Feedback much appreciated

Sounds like an awesome experience! Is there a prize for finishing first, or just bragging rights?

I just tried posting a running/hiking link in one of of your other posts and it's not letting me post it either, so don't feel bad. I was able to find the website of a professional photographer that had about 70 photos of the mud run posted, though it didn't say what year it was from. So does the entire graduating class do this, or just a certain few?
