sleeping nude

now, being a home nudist who doesnt do much in the way of going out and about, i do a lot of nude sleeping (well, pretty much every night - except for the cold nights!) but to all those who sleep nude - do you have your own set of rules that you stick by. for example, clothes must be within arms length in case of a house fire. or, the bedroom door must be locked so my younger bro/sister wont see me (or parents for that matter) - ?

Well, personally when I was a teenager and when I lived with my parents, I slept naked at the age of 16 years. The rules I set myself : to close the door during the night but not locked; on my bed having a boxer and a t-shirt as pajamas; parents, brothers and sisters were knocking and waiting for an answer before to enter in my room...

Hey man,

It's your space and I hope that they would respect your privacy regardless of being naked or clothes.  They should knock always.  You can let them know that you may or may not be clothed at times. And if it bothers then that they might see your ding-a-ling, then let them know you'll open the door, but not to just open your door willy nilly.  As a parent, i don't have a problem that my daughter sometimes walks around naked, but when she's in playschool nex year, we have to teach her that she can't just pull her pants off and leave them off to go and play in school.  she's ok with being naked and sees no problem with that, but she's also aware that there are times that she should have privacy.  if you can, talk to your family.  I'm sure they will let you do what you want alone in your room as an adult.  my parents never bothered me when I was in my room so I didn't have any problems.

Lots of rambling and probably not a lot of help.  You'll figure it out and I hope that your family is accepting but lets you know how they truly feel about your nakedness.

the difficult thing is im not 'ashamed' to let them see mw nude, but they wouldnt understand the reasons why ( thats the type of people they are). When I first started to sleep nude, they noticed and used to wake me up in the middle of the night to make sure i had clothes on! i love being naked, i really do. the sooner i get my own place, the more naked i can be

Would check to see if you put pjs on. The only reason I would check my daughter is because she is three and still sometimes pees her bed. I hope you find an accepting roommate. If you can't get a place alone. I'm sure you will have your freedom soon enough. Much more than I can imagine for myself. It's not my parents, it's my wife that opposes public nudity. She is still amazing and worth the sacrifice. I get my rare chances to be clothes free.

Sleeping naked is quite relaxing and the most comfortable way to do it. I began to sleep naked years ago, although at very cold days I prefer using pajamas. Despite my like for sleeping naked I have always had my pajamas under the pillow or a dressing gown above  the blanket, just in case I have to get up in the middle of night. I have never had problems with my parents, because they didn't investigate that. I find that attitude disappointing.

I've just recently started sleeping nude all the time, although it's probably because it's finally summer, lol. I don't have any 'rules' or anything, I live with family who respect my privacy and the door's always closed. I just have a pair of briefs on the desk nearby in case I need to head out of the room at any point during the night.

now - im 18, and have slept nude all week. slept nude last night - and would you believe it, my parents stuck their heads in and asked me to put my pj's back on incase of an emergency in the night! which im prepared for anyways (they are always beside my pillow just in case).

is it just me, or are they being downright stupid?

Wow. Not sure what to say about that one. Reminds me of when I was grounded for staying out all night. I was 19 years old. Your paents are paranoid about emergencies. Do you research and find out how many people die because of sleeping naked compared to people that die in accidents.

I've been sleeping nude since I was 8 years old. Luckily, I haven't had an emergency where I needed to charge out of the house in a hurry. Also, in those circumstances I highly doubt that getting dressed takes precedence over survival.

I guess for me, generally, I do sleep in the nude sometimes, but my parents also don't know that I'm a nudist, or at least have an interest in it.

That doesn't stop me though, and I tend to do it anyway, but like others, I do have clothes next to me on the bedside table in case an emergency arises.

When I do sleep nude, I keep a pair of sweatpants nearby just in case.

I almost always sleep nude, and I always keep my door locked.  I only put on something if it's too cold or if I'm not at home.

I've slept nude that long that I don't even think about safety clothes.  My robe hangs behind my bedroom door so I guess I would wear that if needed.   As for cold nights, I still prefer body heat or more fuzzy blankets.
