Oh where to begin... About six months ago i started dating the girl of my dreams... Shes kind, funny, smart, and attractive.  When we first started dating, it was the middle of the summer, and living so close to the beach was an easy date and something to do.  I told her about me enjoying naturism and going to a local nude beach, and she laughed it off as me just wanting to see her naked.  I explained to her that nudism is not about just being naked and sex. Rather its about enjoying your body and not being ashamed of it, there is absolutely nothing sexual about being nude.  But still she thought i was crazy.
Then one night at a friends house, we were drinking and playing games in our friends hot tub. Someone suggested that we all should 'up the anti, and take an item of clothing off if said person loses a game'. So i decided to purposefly lose the first game, so i would have to take an item off, i knew if i the first person didn't do it, people would probably just not do it all together.  So i lost and removed my swim shorts, which were the only thing i had on.  Everyone giggled at first and my gf was a little mad that now i was naked in front of other girls, and our friends.  However as the game went on more and more people decided to join in and take clothes off if they lost (maybe the alcohol had something to do with it, but hey it was a step) We decided to stay like this and go in the pool, swim around, go off the diving board, and even sit by the fire, all in the nude.  Everyone had such a great time that we decided that we should def do this more often next summer.
That was a great first step, but what I am really writing about is that my gf the other weekend, when she came to visit me at school said that she now believed that i wasn't just putting on a show, or trying to be funny, or trying to see her naked, and that she would like to try the experience outside of our group of friends, and has agreed to go to the nude beach with me this summer.  She said she would feel things out and make the decision to strip or not there, which i can totally understand.  The nudist world is a lot different for a girl than a guy, especially at Gunnison where the gawkers tend to out number the true nudists... but hey its a start, and i cant wait for the warmer weather!

Sounds cool dude, especially if you and your friends get to have more of those parties this summer. Hopefully the potential of there being gawkers won't be a deterrent for your gf - I know it is for my gf. In that case, visiting a resort may be better for her first experience, or one of the Travasuns winter pool parties on Long Island, if you're not too far from there. I've never been to Gunnison, but I've been to Lighthouse Beach on Long Island, and I bet they're the same with their fair share of gawkers, which may not be the best place for the extremely-self conscious.

I would agree with Storm... You should take your gf somewhere where she'll feel relatively safe, and not somewhere where there will be gawkers.  I think that would give her the wrong impression of nudism, and she may not like feeling like she's "on display", especially with people watching her who aren't even naked (I'm assuming here that the gawkers are just guys out to see naked people).  At a club, even if she feels exposed, it's hard to think that you're the center of attention when you look around and everyone else is naked too.... Just my thoughts.  Good for you and yeah for your girlfriend! Smiley
