Most of the comments posted in response to the article were supportive. (npi)
Many were along the lines of "this would be no big deal in France/Spain/California" while some expressed regret that she doesn't plan to do it again.
One linked to a
blog post suggesting that an experiment be done to see how many women per acre have to be topless before other women will feel comfortable joining them.
The blogger, a man, suggests eight per acre. I think he is way low. In a park setting, I think there would have to be at least two topless women visible within a 100 foot (30m) radius. On a street, or standing in a line to buy food, I think 5% of women would have to be topless for it to become a non-issue.
Other opinions/guesses?
