I was at a graduation dinner last night for friends.  I graduated with a BE (Chem) in 2008, and I hope to have my PhD in 2012... maybe.  If I ever do some real work on it.

I walked. I didn't want to but my parents made me. If you've earned your degree, I guess you probably should participate in commencement just to have a fitting end to all of your hard work.

yea, i thought about doing it for that reason, but then i really thought about it, and an Associates Degree, while nice, seems to equate to what a High school Diploma did 5-10 years ago. While my degree is in Programming, most of the company's ive looked at want bachelors degree for programming spots, while the 'programming' degree i hold is good enough to get me a tech support job..

Come another 5 years, Bachelors will be needed for that, Associates will be needed to flip burgers at Mc Donald's.

I dropped out after four years, as I didn't want to spend another year at that beer commercial run by the political correctness gestapo. Only after I leave does someone start a naturist group. Damn.
