I\'m wondering ... what temperature (Farenheit) is too cold to go out nude? It\'s 70 out here on the weekends and I\'d like to make a trip to the beach

I think anything below 65 is too cold, even then only if it is sunny. If the temperature is in the 70\'s, I say go forth and be nude!

I agree. As I\'m from the Uk I use celsius so I worked out what 18 deg C would be (64.4 deg F) which is the point at which I think it\'s no longer comfortable to be outside nude for very long.

Southern softie! I\'m wondering ... what temperature (Farenheit) is too cold to go out nude? To be honest, Glass, I don\'t think there\'s ever going to be a stat answer to this question as we all feel the heat/cold to greater or lesser degrees. I remember reading a post on another forum from a guy who stated that he didn\'t really see himself as a nudist because he dressed when it was cold. Most of the replies were along the lines of ..... being a nudist doesn\'t mean you need to be nude all the time. If you feel the cold, dress. We\'re nudists, not masochists after all! So whilst I\'m gently ribbing Ben because he feels 18C is as low as he\'d consider being comfortable for nudity, it\'s a temeperature he feels comfortable with that suits him. I\'ve seen frosty mornings where the ground temperature is about freezing, the air temp maybe a degree or two above but, because it was totally cloudless & I was in direct sun, I\'ve not noticed the cold whilst I was out putting rubbish in the bin. Then again, I didn\'t hang about for too long ... when it\'s that cold, you never know what might break & fall off I bet all the Floridians think 70 is sweater weather too, whereas here in Scotland, that\'s considered to be a pleasant summer\'s day. Hence the reason we Scot\'s have a penchance for travelling the world, especially to warmer climes! DGC

It\'s a measure of personal comfort like Doug said. I\'ve been out nude in colder weather than 18 deg C but if I was out and not doing much then I wouldn\'t feel comfortable unless I was warm. Feeling cold is one of my pet hates but I suppose Doug, being a northerner, you have become aclimatized to the colder climate.

Don\'t know how solid my answer will be, but I do know the lake surface was solid when I plunged New Year\'s Day 2006 . . . I used a pick-axe to chop a hole in the ice. Granted, it was in Iowa, not Maine or Minnesota, but it was still cold. So how cold is too cold? For normal everyday sane activities it\'s too cold for nude recreation when shivering occurs. If you\'re just lying on the beach you\'ll of course need warmer temperatures than if you\'re participating in volleyball or some other active pursuit. The hard part is finding enough other people to form a volleyball game when the temperature\'s below 70º F :)

Doug that\'s ool. but i can top that that. I done a billy connely and was out in the snow and got the sudden urge to see what it felt like to be naked in it(not IN it mind you, just walk about) o i stripped in the woods near my house and walked. everyhing decreased in size but it was the most natural 20 seconds of my nudist life!(eah, i know, i din\'t last that long, but hey!)

Yeah, I tried the nude outside in winter thing, in the middle of the night, but I didn\'t stay very long. To make matters worse, I was also barefoot.
I didn\'t notice the cold, though, until I stepped in some snow.
Regularly, I\'ll stay somewhat conservative, maybe dressing when it\'s in the forties or fifties.

Anything below 66.
I think that if it\'s 75 degrees F or over, why wear clothes?

I don\'t think there is a tempature at which it is to cold. It is just about how long you can take it. I could run around nude in the middle of winter when the temp is 20 F but not for to long.

80F in the shade, maybe 70F in the sun, unless it\'s windy.

I went nude outdoors in low-60s and a breeze, but it was on sand dunes in the sun, so it really felt like mid-70s.
Last weekend at the club it was about 70 and breezy, so it was a little nippy in the shade but quite warm in the direct sun.
I think low-mid 80s and sunny with moderate humidity is ideal conditions, for nudism especially.

Try what I\'ve done -
Climb a mountain, so your muscles are burning and you\'re sweating. You feel really hot, even in high winds and low temperatures, so walking down nude is seriously invigorating, and it only gets warmer as you descend!
