I am a naturist and a Christian and I find it is a great mix. My faith complements my lifestyle. Being a Christian gives meaning to live and being nude focus on the real me.
I do also find that it puts a moral perspective on things too! I find that both are very important! I have a reason for it all and it works for me very well.

I am a christian, also... not sure what my actual church would say about it... I am sure the other people there my age and into their thirties wouldn\'t give a hoot. Maybe my actual denomination would have something to say about it. Not sure though. I know there are several christian nudist groups out there, as well as church services held in nudist resorts, etc. I don\'t see any problem with it. It doesn\'t go against my religion, and really, goes with it, if you know what i mean.

There is another message board that combines Naturism and religion, well actually just Christianity, the URL is: http://www.naturist-christians.org It may help with any questions. Personally, I am not a religious person but I feel that if there is a God and he/she felt that we were meant to wear clothes, we would be born with them!

Ok im going to put my 2 cents in here:
I was raised in a very strict Baptist house. My dad is a deacon in a Baptist church and has been for the past 10 years or so. I personally believe that this lifestyle is ok. I dont see anything wrong with it because its not intended to be sexual. However, alot of people that are religious will disagree. And when i say this , i mean non nudists, preachers, church\'s etc.
My family doesnt know about this and me because they would not condone it at all. Yes im 25 and yes i live out of their house but to them it would be morally wrong. I love my family so i dont tell them. I asked 2 different preachers ( not mine) about this lifestyle and both agreed that it was wrong. I didnt tell them why i just told them i was curious. I wanted to get the opinions and thoughts of them.
I dont agree with them at all. But i just thought id share my thoughts. Im a Baptist ( or as some call it Christian) and im very sound in my faith and i also lead this lifestyle. So i think the two go hand in hand as if Adam and Eve had never ate of the fruit we would all be naked without knowledge it was something deemed wrong!

I am kind of in a similar situation and I share exactly the same thoughts as Steph. I am a Muslim, and while no Muslim scholar would condone nudity I think that there\'s nothing wrong with nudity in a non-sexual context, such as the case with nudism. I still live with my family and I know they are definitely against it which is why I never told them, as I see no reason in creating tension around the house.

I know what you mean by this, but correct wording is sometimes important There is nothing wrong with nudity, sexual or not. The important thing is to keep them separate.

I am a roman catholic but i think europeans tend to be more open minded when it comes to nudity and they understand the difference between nudity and sexual arrousal. I think that our country would not think this of themselves but i think us brits are alot more loose and easygoing than people think we are and for this i think religion and nudity only seem to clash when the innocence of naturism is removed and a more sinister topic is added in to the equation. I also think that with religion boundries are clear from an early age are quite understandable but when you get to our age you realise that some things are nonsense like the whole deal with nudity and following the trend with all human behavior, people tend to experiment more with the things which they don\'t see i problem with and for us this is naturism, and i don\'t see many people putting out appeals trying to stop it so something must be right with it!

hi, personally i\'m not a religious person, so it makes no difference what the people in power say. I believe that if it feels right then it must be.

I would\'t classify myself as Christian, although I have many Christian beliefs. Won\'t get into that now though. But I have a question, is it not a sin to be naked? Because if I remember correctly in the bible, when Adam and Eve at the fruit off of the tree of knowledge they realised they were naked and embarrased. Now that I type this I realise I can\'t remember it saying it being a sin, but does it make any reference to nudity other then embarrasment in this part of the bible?

I was raised as a Roman Catholic due to my Dutch father (Good match for my Scots Mum - eh) but have an interest in the ancient pagan religion too. As far as i am concerned God created our bodies the way they are and it is a great creation just like the bodies on every other animal he created. None of them cover up and i see no reason why he would intend this human animal too either. My firm belief is that the idea of our bodies needing to be covered for any other reason than the cold or protection is a decree of man due to his interpretation of gods word and nothing more, and that we were never intended to be clothed.

Hi, I am a Christian myself, but I would classify myself as a non-denominational one. Just about everyone on this planet knows that I am a nudist, and I make no apology for it. I also moderate a Christian naturist site myself at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Brisbane-Christian-Naturists if anyone is interested in joining it. Christians who say that being naked is a sin are well wrong. The Bible does not refer to nakedness being a sin, or even as part of the original sin. The original sin was disobedience to God by eating from the tree that he commanded the first human inhabitants not to eat from. If one reads the Bible a bit more in depth, they will find in Isaiah 20 that God commanded him to minister naked and barefoot for three years as a sign and wonder for what disaster would befall Egypt and Ethiopia for their enslavement of the Israelites. Micah, David and Saul all prophesised naked and it is an interesting fact that when David\'s wife Michal castigates him from dancing naked wearing only an ephod in the streets when the covenant box was taken out of Israel, she was cursed by God with sterility. The word \"Christian\" actually means \'little Christ\' or \'Christ within\', which means practitioners of said faith seek to act like Christ in every way. Christ NEVER condemned the practise of nudism, but later on Paul wrote in his letters that there were certain groups and Christian sects that forbade its people to do certain things like eat food sacrificed to idols, or to drink wine. It says that we must welcome Christians who are weak in the faith, but not to pass judgement on what they believe. Personally, meat-eating and smoking (both activities that many Christians indulge in) offend me, but many Christians tend to be more offended by innocent non-sexual nudity. Jesus Christ, come back, please. This planet needs you. Dario Western
