Has anybody noticed a decrease in the number of posts and new threads on here in the last year? I was just looking at the stats ( http://ynai.com/forum/index.php?action=stats) for the site and comparing November this year to last year there has been: Over 3 times fewer new topics Around 7 times fewer posts 73 fewer new members Does this signal something more serious for the naturist community as a whole or just a normal cycle of ups and downs. How could this forum be brought back to its former glory? Have a look at the stats and see what you think.

The departure of a few key people probably hurt our numbers quite a bit.

I think Dan mentioned in another thread here that it's a normal cycle with the onset of winter and finals and all the fun that goes along with it. The thought of nude activities kind of slips from peoples minds this time of year, even the online activities I suppose.

I agree with everyone else but, I think there's also a limit of things to talk about when there aren't current events people are sharing. You can only ask but so many times "do you like doing such and such activity nude", and there's a lack of nudist activity in terms of attention grabbing media, so a decline happens.

The new front I THINK was made public in January of this year. We were working on it from around Aug-Dec. Unfortunately I don't have access to the web stats (Other than the ones we all have access to), and Casey is out of commission for a while, so I can't give you too much more info on stats from the front as opposed to the previous front page ( By New Front we are talking about the new front page of http://www.ynai.com).

What you need is more people to know about this site. I found out through a friend.. would have never found it otherwise.
I think the front page needs info on it. A reason for people to go to and come back to the site. Even a blog like design with a handful of people writing story's and reporting on events.

It does feel like YNAI is falling apart a bit. I remember even a year ago, almost every topic would be fresh and new. Now there's threads that are months old on page 1 in a subforum.
I've also noticed that a lot of longtimers have left us, like Doug, Kensington, Danee, and Aymz. I know each have their reasons for leaving and they were long time members but almost all them had very interesting posts. I think YNAI took a hard it when a lot of people left.
Hopefully, YNAI becomes stronger and better.
EDIT: I really miss the photo caption contest.

i honestly dont remember the front page changing too much except to its current format. it feels like its a place holder for the forum and doesnt really serve any purpose. the stories are kinda old showing that the front page isnt really an asset.

I honestly have no idea why the forum activity is 'declining' other than the reasons others have suggested. Seriously, I'll always be here for as long as there's any activity at all anyway, as I honestly don't know of a more relevant and interesting naturism-specific forum for those of us in the UK. Unless Skinbook's a much more attractive and suitable site these days than many of the posts in our thread on it here suggest? I also have no idea why so many intriguing sounding newcomers post only once or a handful of times and seemingly never come back.
