Nudist Couples

Would like to know if there are any nudist couples on this forum? Are both you and your spouse nudists? Were you both nudists before marriage? If not, how did you introduce nudism to your spouse? Please share!

Simple..... on one of my first dates with my boyfriend we somehow got on the subject of nude/topless beaches. I mentioned to him that I had gone to Black's Beach a couple times and he didn't react negatively so the conversation just naturally turned to naturism.....

My wife (then girlfriend)  and I tried social nudity for the first time in college.  We went to a nude beach and we were hooked.  We have been to clubs as well as nude beaches.  We have a clothing optional home and are raising our kids to be comfortable in there own skin.

My missus is not really a naturist but she does come to some of the Naturist camps etc that i go to for a few days and if the notion takes her she goes nude some time or not others. I dont push her to just let her be how she pleases.

Have any of you guys ever had a negative reaction from a boyfriend or girlfriend when you told them you are into nudism?

I have gotten some rather strong reactions in the past. There may have been some other underlying issues in a couple of those situations but rejection is rejection no matter the reason and it doesn't make it any easier. There have been a few who have been accepting of it though and it makes it a bit difficult to approach the subject for the first time not really knowing how they are going to react.

I suspect that is pretty hard.  I haven't even felt comfortable saying anything to my friends.  And I suspect it is more likely to be negative if a guy tells his gf than vice versa.  So what happened in those situation when you got a negative response?

The most benign negative response I've gotten is that they simply wouldn't be comfortable with being nude in front of other people. She had some fairly severe body issues and no amount of discussion would convince her otherwise. The worst I can remember would have to be the comment along the lines of "that's for dirty hippies" or perhaps the girl who said that I must be some sort of sexual deviant. There's been a fairly broad spectrum of responses to the idea and so far I really have had more negative than positive. 

On the positive side though, there was the one woman who I introduced to the hot spring and then she wanted to go every chance we got. In that case I felt that it was "safe" to bring up the subject because of her attitudes toward other things, she was an outdoorsy free spirited girl from the beginning. Even with her I sort of worked into the subject a little slowly at first, kind of feeling her out by asking a few probing questions. I even took her to a gallery showing of Jock Sturges here in Seattle before we ever went to the hot spring which in hind sight was probably more risky than just taking her there in the first place considering the subject matter or his work. She loved it and after that I figured if she was okay there she would never have a problem with going nude at a hot spring.

Jennifer and I are a nudie couple here at YNAI;  I'm the one to post, she's (sometimes lol) the one who tells me what to post  , our little guy's the one who tells me (in so many gestures  ) when I can post.
Jennifer and I are lifelong nudies, and we met when she was 2 and 1/2 and I was 3 years old, and yep, we were both naked when one of our dads (there is some disagreement now on which one  !) said, "Look, Aaron, here is your new girlfriend!" (still a #1 source of laughter in our family  !).  Anyway, we've been together ever since, I never had another gf, she never had another bf, unbelievable as it may sound; we got married and our little guy was born six months ago, with another one hopefully on the way next year. So yep, ciba321, there are (at least) two nudie couples on this forum  .  Aaron

   I have never dated a nudist. However, I was able to introduce my last gf and my current one to nudism. The main thing is to show them that nudism is non-sexual. Textile people automatically associate nudity with sex. Thus, it makes most girls uncomfortable for others to see their significant other naked. But, as they realize it is just for the enjoyment of being naked, they become comfortable with it. The biggest thing is that you can't be pushy. I'm guilty of it and I realized that it doesn't work lol. Some girls will be open to try it out, others will not. It's just the way it is. Hope this helps.
  My current girlfriend, Christina, and I have been together a yr and a few months. Now, we go to nude pool parties every month and the beach during the summer. Although she is comfortable with it, if she doesn't go to a nudist event for a while, she kinda has to get comfortable all over again. But, it all works out in the end. We've even discussed raising our kids as nudists if we get married and have kids.

Wow that's an awesome story!

Been with my girlfriend for over 4 years now and she still hasn't converted.  As the previous poster mentioned though, it's not for everybody.

We both had a negative first experience of a nude beach (on the Isle of Sheppy, UK) and haven't returned since (about 2 years now).  Too many gay guys patrolling up and down, performing dubious acts.

I really want to whisk her away to Montalivet or some nice, non-lewd, place in France or something.  God knows it's been my goal since I was like six years old or something, lol.

My wife and I are just about to go to a clothing optional beach.  We actually thought about going to bonnaire (Sorobon) 2  years ago for the honeymoon...but we had a happy baby boy come a bit earlier than we wanted and now two years later (and another child) we're planning to go to St Martin.

I've never even had a girlfriend yet, so I'm a little worried how my first one (whenever that happens) might feel if she finds out. I'm still too afraid to tell any of my friends that I'm a nudist, but from what I hear there aren't that many negative reactions in general. So for now I'm just keeping my ears open, and if the time is right, I may mention something. I'm just too concerned about not losing any friends because of my lifestyle.
