I\'m thinking of going to Vancouver at the end of the month/start of may and have read a lot of good things about Wreck Beach. Is it worth going to at this time of year or is it too cold in Vancouver then?

I\'d be interested in meeting some people from Vancouver too.

I was just about to say that... everytime I\'ve been to BC... well... rain is not really unusual. Plus being Spring, the chances of rain are probably a lot higher. It\'s colder up there, too... compared to here anyway. Since you just live in another part of Canada, you probably wouldn\'t notice much difference. But hey, go for it! You only live once.

It will probably be a bit chilly - certainly the water will be. I went last Canada Day and I was one of only 10ish people spread out over the entire beach, I think that it picks up more in mid-July when it is 25 degrees and warmer (hot, in Vancouver).

Why don\'t all of you attend one of the many indoor nude swims on the weekends in Vancouver?

There is always something going on in Van!

I think that I will, I\'m no longer too young to do so, but I do have to find time . . .

Let me know which one you decide to attend.  I\'d like some feedback on your impressions.... we have a group that goes up there from Seattle a few times a year...

Regards,

just wondering if anyone has been to any of these type of events?   cause i honestly do want to go to some this summer, but i don\'t really want to be hanging out with older people. so my question is, if any of u did go, were there mostly old people?? (old as in they can be my parents)

Well I went to Wreck Beach the other day. Wasn\'t too cold, the wind wasn\'t up so it wasn\'t too cold... a few nudists around, mostly clothed people though.

May we assume you visited the beach as nature intended you? No shame if any of various reasons compelled you to endure some other mode of adornment.

I did go as nature intended, and I actually went back again. It\'s a pity a lot of the beach is either mud or big rocks, but other than that it was still enjoyable.
