Howdy folks, just wanted to help get the word out about this great program going on in the Southwest region this summer. They will be holding their annual Youth Leadership Camp at Oaklake Trails Naturist Resort in Depew, Oklahoma. Their camp director is a member on another board and has asked for my help getting the word out. If you’re interested in attending the camp, know someone who is, or would like information on how you might be able to help out feel free to contact me for further details or go to their website at SW-Youth Leadership Camp The camp dates run from July 19th through July 25th.

Thanks for the heads up Steve Smiley

Shangri-la has a bus going from Shangri-la to the leadership camp this year as well, so if you are closer to AZ let them know and they will reserve you a spot on the bus Smiley

No sweat...whatever I can do to help out. I just wish there were programs like this in my neck of the woods. This is something that I would love to be a part of.

Ya, I don't know if the Northeast does it anymore, I know they used to have one a few years ago.

I wanted my daughter to go to one but she is not a very social person, well she is but she doesnt like going out much Cheesy

My son is 9 so in a few years we will be going to them. I wanted to get involved earlier but with health have never been able. Sucks too because one year it was @ Shangri-la, and the next it was at DeAnza, two clubs within easy driving distance.

How old is your daughter? At the camp where I work every summer I've found that even the quiet, withdrawn kids come out of their shells a day or two into camp and most of the time by the end of it they are upset when it's time to go home.

I loved my time working at camps.  There may not have been for the clothless campers, but it was a blast.  That's where my wife and I met too was working at a camp.  I hope to go back this summer sometime and be apart of the camp.  Peace and blessings to those that can go this year.
