Guinness World Records™ organization has agreed to create a new category for the largest number of people simultaneously skinny-dipping, and AANR is the contact association for this record event.
AANR plans to coordinate skinny-dipping events at participating clubs and legally-sanctioned nude beaches throughout North America on Saturday July 11, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Nudist Time, to coincide with Nude Recreation Week.
We want the world to know the joys of fun and wholesome skinny-dipping as an American tradition proudly supported by AANR while being recognized by Guinness World Records™.
Tell your friends. You don’t have to be an AANR member to participate. Those who might be a bit shy about shedding their swimsuit can get in the act by jumping in and pulling their swimsuit off underwater, hold it overhead and be included in the count.
Those who have a Facebook account can join the community and network with other skinny-dippers at The AANR World Record Skinny-Dip page.
We're shooting for a big, big number and we need your help. So mark your calendars and spread the word. For more information, call the AANR office at 800/TRY-NUDE.

Well if you are in NY then check the site for locations that are doing it  The details and signup sheets were sent off to each of the AANR clubs last week so we should be hearing more deets in the coming weeks |

Barring any major car trouble, I'm planning on spending the weekend at Sunny Haven for the event. Thanks to papabare for the link to the club. @skeeter: It's a couple of hours away from Chicago, if you're interested. I don't know if you've chosen where you're going. EDIT: After replacing a fuel pump for about $600, I'm not going anywhere.  |

GE should be packed for the event If I had my RV by that time I may have headed up there, but I will most likely do Shangri-La. Going to try and get some people to come up with me, throw my third row seats in the SUV and carpool up there |
