Hi everyone!
My nudist group in Edmonton, AB, Canada has now booked a swim at a local pool. This will be a nude swim open to all 18 years of age or older regardless of gender or marital status. Here is the information:

================================================
Location: EASTGLEN LEISURE CENTER POOL (11410-68th Street, Edmonton)
Date: SATURDAY, APRIL 29th 2006
Time: 8PM to 9:30PM. (Doors open at 7:30pm for member \'check-in\')
Cost: The cost will be C$9 per person.
================================================

Currently we are only taking payments via credit card online, but we will very soon be announcing other options to purchase physical ticket(s) at a location in the city.

For more information and to purchase ticket(s) online, please point your Web browser to the event\'s public website.

See you at the swim!

Bit of a hike by plane though.. LOL

Local nude swin in Edinburgh has closed unfortunately and just a tad too chilly for a swim in the sea just yet...

Well the date is good for me, but I\'m afraid the time isn\'t.

Perhaps another time. Hopefully you can book a pool during the day when that time comes.

Wont happen Brian.  Pools only have rental times in the evenings.  Or at least they did back when I was a lifeguard.   ???

At least earlier then.

How would you get there by bus from Southgate?

Just a quick update to the April 29 Swim: Tickets can now also be purchased from Earth\'s General Store at 10832 Whyte (82nd) Avenue in Edmonton, still for $9 each. Just ask for \'swim tickets\' from the cashier.

Thank you!

Hi Brian! From Southgate you can take the following bus route (takes approx. 46 minutes):

  • Take Bus No.9 [Northgate] departing from Southgate Transit Centre (bus stop No. 2215) at 7pm.
  • Arrive at 101st Street and MacDonald Drive (Bus stop No. 1591) at 7:20pm.
  • Walk approx. 336 meters to the eastbound bus stop No. 1966 at 100A Street and 102nd Avenue.
  • Take Bus No. 2 [Clareview] going eastbound from this stop at 7:29pm.
  • Arrive at 69th street and 112th Avenue (Bus stop No. 1493) at 7:46pm.
  • The pool is a two minute walk north-east from here on 11410 - 68th street.

You could also ask me for a ride there if you like. :-)

Take care!

I\'ll have to think up an excuse to tell my parents. They don\'t know I\'m a nudist, yet. I could just tell them that I\'m part of a youth group and we\'re having a swim on that night (it\'s not a lie, just a half-truth).

When\'s the deadline to buy tickets?

Hey Brian! There is no real deadline for the physical tickets. As long as you can buy one from the Earth\'s General Store and make it out to the pool before 8pm when the doors are locked you should be fine. :-) For online ticket purchase, the deadline will be around 10am on the day of the swim.

Also.. please do note that the swim is for 18 year olds and over.

Take care!
